TaskUNIQUE&nbsp;JAPANESE VIBEThe client asked me to create a set that is both traditionally Japanese and has an individual aesthetic in order to distinguish it apart from other ramen shops. Her cakes are well known in Milan for their kitsch and ostentatious aesthetic.&nbsp; Task IDENTITY AND ILLUSTRATIONI was tasked to build a visual identity that would fit the vibe of the cakes, playing around with her hironic take on ugliness. Solution CHILDISH BRUTALISMI mixed brutalistic design with a pop-punk look of the 1990s. TaskILLUSTRATIONS&nbsp;FOR MERCHANDISING&nbsp;My task was to create a couple of illustrations to be printed on t-shirts and various merchandising. It was mandatory for the designs to be 100% “americana”. SolutionOLD SCHOOL POP ARTI mixed together various American icons, including the flag, the Yankees, blue jeans, diners, and, of course, burgers. TaskBRAND IDENTITYSo clients could develop a personal relationship with the instructor, it was important that her personality was present&nbsp;in the visuals, including floral symbols and&nbsp;her favourite colours. SolutionWHIMSICAL MANDALATo ensure the studio was youthful and expressed the dinamic nature of the yoga, I drew quirky characters in yogic poses. TaskEDUCATIONAL POSTER &nbsp;They tasked me to realise an educational poster about fungi,mushrooms, and their mysterious life to hang in the school classrooms. SolutionPLAYFUL RISOGRAPHI created characters by cutting out coloured shapes similar to paper cut-out figurines made by children.
